Active utilizes top of the line Charmilles EDM Machines for its wire burning needs. The machines are used to complement the sample’s side of the business as well as provide outside edm work for local businesses. Active uses several CAD/CAM packages to help post CAD data to its EDM equipment. They are: Esprit, MasterCam, AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
Active has two Charmilles Robofil 300s and one Charmilles Robofil 330 wire burning machines. The machines will cut metals and other electrically conductive materials up to 15.5 inches tall. The machines will taper up to 30 degrees. The x axis can travel up to 15 inches and y travel up to 9.5 inches. The maximum part size can be 24 inches by 24inches and weigh up to 2000 pounds. |
