Active Manufacturing’s Laser Department features two Mazak lasers with 6 axis cutting capabilities which includes a rotary axis capable of cutting various shapes of bar and tubing materials.
Our Mazak SGU-44 is a 2500 watt six axis machine. With its multi-axis torch, the SG-U44 laser-cuts stamped and other pre-formed parts as well as high-speed 2D bevels in flat material. The system features a 16.53" Z- axis and a 48” by 48” bed. It’s capable of cutting many different materials and can cut steel from .005 to .600. The Mazak SG-48 2000 watt laser is a six axis machine capable of cutting steel and other types of material from .005 to .500 inches thick. The machine bed size is 48” x 96”. It is also capable of laser-cutting stamped and other pre-formed parts in both 2D and 3D modes. Active utilizes the latest software developed by Mazak via Space Cam V2-1 for programming, 3d fixtures and cutting profile programs to post to the lasers. |
